One of the things that I have found to be most important when studying, or even just planning my studying, is to know what you’ve actually got to do. If you’re studying for a test, what topics do you need to cover? If you’re writing an essay, what do you need to do to prepare and what do you need to include? Once you have the answers to questions like these, getting it done with be a hell of a lot easier.
I am a list maker. When I need to get something done, I like to break it down into smaller tasks and write them all done, so that I can focus at one at the time. That makes it much less daunting as well.
All in all, I think breaking down your tasks and making sure you know exactly what you got to do will make you more structures and also make your work easier for you.
